Ek Tha Gadha proves its mantle as Sharad Joshi's all time classic by ensuring that its relevance pervades the test of time and situations. As a political satire, the play throws up extremely poignant pointers on power struggles and extent of inhumanity that our leaders are ready to travel to retain their power. All this woven beautifully through a musical narrative keeps it away from sounding preachy at any point of time and makes it for one of the most lively extravaganzas that one would have witnessed on Yatri, â€œThe Theatre Repertoryâ€ is one of the most patronized cultural groups in the country. Yatri is one of the oldest Hindi theatre repertories in India established in 1979, and is now celebrating its 30th continuous year of activity.

Eminent theatre person K.V.Subbanna improvised the story of Sadarame as Miss. Sadarame, which was originally scripted by Bellave Narahari Shastry. Amateur Theatre Group Samashti''s experiment on Sadarame is cleverly plotted and even different from the original story. The story revolves around an innocent middle class girl Sadarame, where a prince got attracted to her and wants to marry her, sacrificed his kingdom to his greedy father-in-law and left the kingdom bankrupt along with the newly wed Sadarame. Unknown to the new world, Sadarame was exposed to difficult circumstances from the cunning travelers of the story. By her extravagant intelligence Sadarame managed to escape from all troubles and finally remains as Miss. Sadarame. The journey of the story is quite crazy and humorous, criticizing the present social situations.
