Se trata de hojas largas con una costilla gruesa en medio que la divide en dos partes, la superior y la inferior, que facilita su uso como plato. Generalmente los acompa\u00f1antes se colocan en la parte superior de la costilla y el plato principal, como el arroz, se coloca en la parte inferior.<\/p>\n<p>Este tipo de men\u00fa no se sirve con cubiertos, ya que <strong>se come <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lasociedadgeografica.com\/blog\/gastronomia\/el-arte-de-comer-con-las-manos\/\">con los dedos<\/a><\/strong>, siempre con los de la mano derecha. La comida caliente servida en la hoja de pl\u00e1tano absorbe el valor nutritivo de la planta, facilita la digesti\u00f3n y proporciona un sabor especial a la comida.
